There are three main components to an ECG: the P wave, which represents the depolarization of the atria; the QRS complex, which represents the depolarization of the ventricles; and the T wave, which represents the repolarization of the ventricles.

• Type 1 diabetes: It must be treated with insulin injections due to the body's inability to produce its own insulin.
• Type 2 diabetes: It may be controlled by diet and exercise alone. When this is insufficient, there are three types of medication that may be prescribed.
